Kick off the start of summer this Memorial Day weekend for our first annual Strawberry Festival! Visit the Lubber Run and Cherrydale markets on Saturday, May 24, and the Fairlington and Westover markets on Sunday, May 25, for free activities and giveaways.
Celebrate the start of summer with our many local vendors, and enjoy these free activities:
🍓 Fresh strawberries raffled off every 30 minutes
🎪 Free strawberry stickers, temporary tattoos, and bracelets at the Market Tent
📣 Share your favorite strawberry recipe on Instagram and tag @fairlingtonmarket, @cherrydalefarmersmarket, @lubberrunfm, or @westoverfarmersmarket for a chance to be featured.
🍰 Delicious strawberry items from our vendors, including strawberry Danishes, sorbet, cookies, cakes, and more. (Will vary at each market).
🏆 More games and activities to be held like BINGO and a scavenger hunt!
🌳 Make sure to take advantage of the green space where the strawberry photo props are displayed and picnic in the nice weather!
Each market has different product offerings (see below), so make the most of your weekend by visiting more than one farmers market.
